Stretched end to end, the DNA in your body would reach far beyond the solar system.

· Science

A single human cell contains about two metres of DNA, wound tightly into its nucleus. Multiplied across the tens of trillions of cells in an adult body, the total length becomes enormous — commonly given as tens of billions of kilometres.

One widely cited estimate puts it at roughly the round-trip distance from the Sun to Pluto, travelled about 17 times. The exact figure depends on assumptions about how many cells a body holds, but the scale is consistently astronomical.
